Can I surrender my rabbits to Petco for adoption or rehoming?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Male | unneutered | 2 lbs

I have two white, male rabbits about a year old. I am unable to keep taking care of them and I’m looking for a new owner/home for them. I was wondering if Petco adopts or takes in rabbits? I want to make sure they go to a good home and not a shelter or place in which they are given away to those who kill or eat rabbits.

Hi there. So sorry but Petco does not take in any animals. You will need to either re-home them to a friend or other person, relinquish them to a shelter or find a rabbit rescue in your area. http://www.nhcrabbitrescue.org/ http://www.trianglerabbits.org/ https://www.facebook.com/Dance-with-the-Bunnies-Rabbit-Rescue-156945467102/ https://spcawake.org/adopt/bunnies-other-small-pets/#/ With just a short internet search I found these rescues. I suggest you contact one of them to see if they can assist you. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
