Why is my old dog tilting head, crying, and struggling to eat?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 7 years and 1 month old | 5 lbs

Why does my dog tilt his head and open his mouth and he doesn’t want to eat he eats but on the side of his mouth and kinda cries sometimes he’s also old he is a 11 year old chiweenie looks more like a dachshund and all he does is sleep and I can’t afford expensive medication please help

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. It sounds like Mickey may be dealing with severe dental disease and may have an infected tooth that is bothering him. If you are unable to afford veterinary care, I would recommend switching him from dry to canned food to make it easier for him to eat. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction.
