My puppy bites! How do I stop it, and are dark room timeouts effective?

How to deal with puppy biting? And Is time outs in dark rooms wrong?

Hi there and thank you for using Pet Coach. I would say that this is not an effective means of deterring him from doing this behavior. I would recommend correcting this behavior by using a spray bottle and lightly spritzing him in the face when he bites and say "off". You can also try and correct this behavior by placing your thumb in his mouth under the tongue and holding it there until he stops or tries to get away. Repeat this thumb technique over and over until he realizes that every time he goes to bite, this will happen and hopefully he will stop. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction.
