Hi, I noticed recently that my horse has a mark in her eye, it doesn’t seem to be affecting her no swelling or discharge, I was wondering if this could be something serious and is it recommended I have a vet look at her?

It is hard to see much from the photo but I do think you should have your vet out to check Shez. That opacity on the cornea could be a fungal or bacterial infection. It could also be a sign of glaucoma (high pressure in the eye). So, yes, I do think you need to have your vet look at that eye. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

There seem to be a scarring on the cornea but i don't think it is something new, he probably suffered from an eye infection at some point and it wasn't treated in time. if you are unsure of his eye history i would recommend getting it checked by your vet ASAP.
