What to do for my cat's burnt paw with broken skin? Should I bandage?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | 6 months and 10 days old | 8.5 lbs

Ok so i asked about what i should do for my cats burnt paw, he jumped onto the stove and burnt the side of his paw, breaking the skin on a toe bean and the pad, and was told to keep it clean and soak it in a betadine and saline solution, but i don’t have either of those? Should i use diluted peroxide? Or put neosporen on it?Also, should i bandage his foot so he doesn’t get litter in the wound? We have other cats so he isn’t the only one using the boxes Also would aloe right from the plant be ok?

Do Not put peroxude, it will make it worse. silver sulfadiazine cream is the best option, if you can bandage it, it would be best. if you can't find this cream you can use neosporin instead but it is less effective for burns.
