When do puppies need their first shots and how much do they cost?

When do newborn puppies need shots and deworming? I rescued 3 mix bred puppies at 2 weeks old from a crazy lady. I need to know how much it is going to cost me to vaccinate them and also how much can i get for the puppies with no paperwork on them.

I would recommend their first round of vaccines at 6 weeks. The vet will be able to deworm them and give you instructions on when they will need their next set of shots and deworming. Since prices vary so much depending on the area and the practice, I would call the vet you plan to use for vaccines and ask for prices on first round of puppy shots for two puppies. They should be able to give you a close estimate of cost. Since they are mixed breeds, I doubt you will be able to get a lot of money for selling them. Most people are only willing to pay for full breed dogs or a small “adoption” fee if a mixed breed. You may be able to ask for the cost of the vet visit for them. I hope this helps!

Puppies should actually start deworming treatments from two weeks of age, so I would recommend giving them those treatments now. Yes you can deworm them yourself, Panacur is an excellent dewormer that is safe to give them at two weeks of age. Follow the dosing instructions on the bottle. You can get it at a pet store. As for the cost of deworming them, it's $21 for a roundworm and hookworm dewormer per animal, but some places may give a discount for multiple animals. You'd have to speak to the vet at your local VetCo to see if that's possible. At six to eight weeks of age, I'd definitely recommend having them seen by a vet for their first vaccines, and I've put a link below to VetCo's vaccine prices so you know them ahead of time. Was wondering what type of shots I would need for a maltese/yorkie mix and how much they would be?
Most puppies will require a series of shots spaced out 3-4 weeks apart, usually a combo vaccine such as DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza). Some combo vaccines may also include Coronavirus or Leptospirosis in them as well depending on your area. At about six months of age, your pup will also need a rabies vaccine that must be administered by a vet. The following year a booster of all vaccines are given, and then either a yearly or three year protocol is usually done to booster all vaccines after that. There are also many other optional vaccines, such as bordetella, that can be given depending on if you plan to board your dog, bring him to a daycare, etc. Working with a vet in your area is best as they will know the most about any required vaccines and what to tailor for you and Russel. Price will vary depending on location and if you go with a vaccine clinic or a private veterinarian and can range anywhere from 50-150+ depending on if an exam is also given or any

Vaccinations are started at 6 weeks of age. The required ones are distemper/parvo combinations which will be repeated every 3 weeks until 16 weeks of age. From there a rabies is required around 12-16 weeks. The others such as bordetella, Lyme and lepto are area dependent and are started at 8 weeks with one booster. The cost varies per area and you will have to call your local clinics to see what they have for puppy packages Deworming can be started at 2 weeks though

Hello its regarding stray dogs.. There r 2 pups born in my locality, maybe around 2 months old.. When should i give them anti rabbies shots and deworming?
Great question! And may I say how lovely of you to give them deworming treatments and giving them vaccines. They can have their deworming treatments now, and their first rabies vaccine at 12 weeks. They will need a booster of the rabies at 16 weeks of age. I would recommend vaccinating them now with a DHPPi (distemper, parvo, parainfluenza, hepatitis) combination shot. They will need a second booster of that in four weeks after the first shot, and a third booster four weeks after the second shot.

The typical vaccination schedule is a combination vaccine called DAPP, which stands for Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. This vaccine is usually given at 8, 12, and 16 weeks of age. A rabies vaccine is given 16 weeks of age. Other recommended vaccines vary depending on what part of the country Mickey is living. Prices vary widely from one city to another, so I can't tell you how much this will cost. I recommend calling a local clinic and asking how much it will cost to bring Mickey in for an exam and his first round of puppy vaccines. We recommend vaccinations start at 8 weeks of age starting with a distemper/parvo combination. A booster is required at 12 & 16 weeks. But even more important is to begin deworming at about 2 weeks of age & repeating the wormer every 2 weeks until weaning. You can just use pyrantal pamoate for the pups. Hope all goes very well. The total cost does depend on where you live and also if you are going to a regular veterinarian or a vaccine clinic. In general the two vaccines your puppy would get are Distemper/Parvo(DHAPP) $30ish Bordetella $30ish There may also be an office charge. I recommend to call your local clinic for the most accurate estimate. I hope this helps.

My dog is of 3 months old and we have not done any vaccination for him he also has worms. Please let me know about the deworming process and the vaccines which is necessary for him with their prices
Bulli will need a DAPP vaccine as soon as possible (distemper, adenovirus, parvovirus, and parainfluenza) - this protects against parvo and distemper, which are the two most common serious illnesses we see in puppies this age. If Bulli is 3 months old now, this vaccine will need to be boostered in 4 weeks. He should also have a Bordetella vaccine (kennel cough), and a rabies vaccine in 4 weeks also. For deworming, he should be dewormed once now and again in 14 days to get rid of all life stages of parasites that may be present. It's recommended to have a fecal sample checked by your vet after doing this, to ensure that no further deworming is needed. Costs will very quite a bit from one area to another (and even between clinics in the same area), so you will need to call a local vet clinic near you for an accurate estimate of prices.
