How to prevent my male dog from mating with his mother in heat?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 1 year old | 59 lbs

If iam having two dogs mother and her son and they live in the same place but iam afraid that the son marries his mom when the heat comes to her what should i do? Note: I cant make any surgery to them right now•

If you are unable to have one or both of the dogs spayed/neutered then you will have to be diligent about keeping them separated while the female is in heat. I would recommend keeping the female in the house and the male outside because if you leave the female outside there is a chance another male dog could mate her. I hope this helps.
