My cat is coughing or burping or something along those lines and wheezes sometimes.

Poor Edgar! This could be due to several different things like allergies, acid reflux, hair balls, an upper respiratory, heart disease and more.you could try Benadryl twice a day as long as he is still eating and acting normally. See link below. If he seems in distress then I would take him to your local emergency clinic ASAP. Otherwise, if the Benadryl doesn’t help or he gets worse, I would have your vet take a look at him. Your vet will be able to listen to his heart and lungs, do blood work or even X-rays if needed. Your vet will be able to get him started on th proper meds to help him feel better.
