My hamster seems to peeing a red substance that could be blood. I don't think it's wet tail because she isn't showing any other symptoms of wet tail. She isn't lethargic and she is eating well. She's chewing on a little corn cob thing that I gave her, for hamsters. She seems okay and I haven't seen any more blood or any signs that she's in pain. Also, she doesn't have any wounds on her body.

With the history of acting normal, I would be an infection in her bladder is likely although a bleeding disorder is possible but rare. Antibiotic will generally clear up the infection quickly. Bladder infections are uncomfortable so I would recommend to get Olive seen by a vet quickly. The doctor will also check for any signs of bruising and rule out a bleeding issue. I hope Olive gets back to normal quickly!

Puddles may have a urinary tract infection or an inflamed prostate or there could be bladder stones or even a tumor. Ideally you should take Puddles to your veterinarian for an exam. If you fed Puddles red beets as a treat then this also may just be red urine from the beets, but that should be gone within a day or two. Red urine can also be caused from a type of hamster mix or from a type of pellet hamster food with a certain artificial color. So if you recently changed your hamster's food, then that can also be the reason.
