My old ferret is lethargic, slow heart rate. Is he shutting down?

I have a 5-6 year old ferret with extreme lethargy, less than 80 BPM heart, and 15 respiration. Seems calm, no pain. Is it probably just dying?

I'm sorry to hear this about Roy Hobbs. I would agree that he is likely shutting down. You can take him into the vet to see if anything can be done or to help ease him into forever peace. Nature can sometimes take days for the pet to finally pass. Euthanasia can be a gift. Please post again with any further questions.
