My ferret's wound keeps reopening and bleeding. What should I do?

My ferret is almost 3 yr old ,shes had this wound for about 2 weeks now. When I had first notice it,it was small and a little red.Ive been checking up on it everyday sinve ive notice it. It looked as if it was gettung better ,just left with a scab.Today u checked her again and it was as if she cut it open and was leaking blood just a little bit.I took a rag and rested on her wound for a little bit. Now it lools like this dry. Im curious of what this is and what i can do to help her. Pet's info: Small Animal | Unknown - Small Animal | Female | spayed | 2 years and 11 months old | 10 lbs

Hi there, It looks like Emily could either have an old injury that has become infected, or she may have an oil gland that has become infected. I would recommend having her checked by your vet, she may need a skin test and some antibiotics. In the meantime I'd recommend cleaning the area with a mild soap and rinsing it well to avoid leaving any residue, I hope that helps and thanks for using Pet Coach.
