What's this lump on my 6-month-old teddy bear puppy's skin?

Lump found on our 6 month old teddy bear puppy tonight. Was at groomers 5 weeks ago did not see anything. Ideas?

This may be a small skin tumor, a reaction or callus to a bite wound or cyst. In such a young puppy, any skin tumor like that is unlikely to be cancerous and certain kinds go away without any treatment. If it does not bother her you can continue to monitor it for any changes. If it bothers her or gets larger, then she will need to be seen for treatment. If it persist for longer than 2 months then I would get it seen.

    She is very young and for that reason a skin tumor is less likely (but not impossible), it's more likely to be a fungal or bacterial infection, it could also be an injury that did not heal well. you should take her to the vet ASAP in order to get that checked and treated.

Its hard to say for sure what that is on Teddy since I can't actually feel the mass. Based on how it looks and the condition of the skin around it (which appears normal in the pictures), I would wonder if Teddy has some sort of clogged pore or skin cyst. Often times a cyst will feel like a firm pea under the skin and they are not painful. Typically a clogged pore can be expressed and the material will be very thick. It will likely continue to refill over and over. Cysts and clogged pores are benign lesions but can get infected (so don't traumatize the lesion). The be sure, I would recommend to take Teddy in to see his doctor and have the mass palpated. If it looks more worrisome, the doctor will recommend an aspirate to determine the origin of the lesion. best of luck with Teddy!

It could be a histiocytoma which is a benign skin tumor that is usually seen in young dogs. The tumor usually spontaneously goes away without treatment. Your vet can do a fine needle aspirate to determine the cause and if treatment is needed.

My 7 month old puppy over the last week has developed and pimple / bump on his neck, it doesn’t seem to bother him but it worries me.
In a young dog these are often a little cyst or a mass known as a histiocytoma. These may grow a little bigger, but eventually go away on their own after a couple of months. I think it would fine to just monitor this for now. If grows rapidly, or breaks open, or has any other dramatic changes, then it's best to have your vet examine Capone in order to definitively diagnose the cause of this and provide the necessary treatment. Hello, I’m just curious what do you think this could be. I have a 5 month old puppy I noticed this on her arm about a week again.
Pictures can be deceiving but it appears to be a circular, raised mass with a slight broken surface. In young pups a benign growth known as a histiocytoma can develop which resolve over time. All lumps should be checked physically by your vet to rule out other possible options such as infections , abscess or tumour

My puppy has this on her neck and I am worried.
Hello, if your dog is young (puppy up to 5yrs) I am almost certain it is a type of skin growth called a Histiocytoma. These are a benign growth which usually spontaneously resolve. If She/ he is older, it is probably another type of skin growth or infection. It is not an emergency but get it checked by your vet in the next couple of days to confirm what it is. They may suggest a little needle biopsy called cytology to be certain of the nature of the growth.

My 8 month old puppy had 3 small lumps under her skin. One is just under 1cm x .5cm and the other 2 are probably under .5cm . You can't see them on the skin but they are oval shape and move under the skin on her left side toward her back. I'm unsure
In a young puppy like Mia, malignant tumors are extremely rare, and I don't think they would necessary be anything to worry about at this point it time. From your description, the lumps do sound very small, and you did the right thing by having them seen by a vet. It could be that these lumps are benign tumors or cysts, and I would keep an eye on them for now. It's good that there are measurements on them, and if they appear to get bigger, I would have Mia seen by the vet again to have a fine needle aspirate done on them. If they don't grow and/or don't cause her any problems, I would not be concerned about them. I hope this helps put your mind at ease :-)

This lump in your puppy’s skin is probably nothing to worry about. It could be from an insect bite or sting or may be a reaction to a vaccine he had in that area. Keep an eye on it for now. If it becomes larger, painful, or red, then take him to your vet right away. Or if he starts acting lethargic, vomits/has diarrhea or stops wanting to eat, you should take him to be checked out. This can be from an injury that is healing, or often young dogs get a benign growth that looks like this. They usually go away without treatment in a few weeks to a month. I recommend keeping an eye on this, prevent any licking and if it looks like it’s getting bigger or has not gone away in a few weeks then please take her in to have this examined. My great dane, Luke, is 6 months old and he stays outside and I've noticed a red boil like bubble on his leg. What could this be?
This is a lump that appears to be only located in the skin. These tend to be benign growths, such as a wart or sebaceous adenoma (basically a big zit). Sometimes these can be a skin tumor such as a mast cell tumor, but in a dog that young, it's not that likely. The best way to find out is to have your veterinarian take a sample and analyze it either in-house or at the laboratory. It does not appear infected, so you don't need to rush in to get this done. In-fact, many of these lumps will go away on their own. If it appears like it's growing or is irritating, then it's best to take Luke in to the vet to get it dealt with. If you notice it starts to shrink in a couple of weeks, then it will likely continue to shrink and go away.
