What's this lump on my 6-month-old teddy bear puppy's skin?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 8 lbs

Lump found on our 6 month old teddy bear puppy tonight. Was at groomers 5 weeks ago did not see anything. Ideas?

This may be a small skin tumor, a reaction or callus to a bite wound or cyst. In such a young puppy, any skin tumor like that is unlikely to be cancerous and certain kinds go away without any treatment. If it does not bother her you can continue to monitor it for any changes. If it bothers her or gets larger, then she will need to be seen for treatment. If it persist for longer than 2 months then I would get it seen.

    She is very young and for that reason a skin tumor is less likely (but not impossible), it's more likely to be a fungal or bacterial infection, it could also be an injury that did not heal well. you should take her to the vet ASAP in order to get that checked and treated.
