Pet's info: Small Animal | Unknown - Small Animal | Female | 2 lbs
I have 2 female guinea pigs. I just rescued them but they are estimated to be at least a year old. They were living in the same cage when I rescued them. The dominant one bites the less dominant ones ears to the point of making cuts in her ears and where she has scabs. She lets me touch her ears and scabs so I know they are not hurting her so badly. But should I go in to a vet to get ointment for her ears to help with healing?

Hello. The ears do not look at all infected, so I do not think you need to place any medication on them. I hope you have separated the two so she does not continue to torture the other one. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
