My bulldog's eyes are swollen and watery. Is it an allergic reaction?

My bulldog suddenly came out with swollen eyes. Noticed it properly yesterday evening. I’ve been placing a warm flannel over her eyes and this evening she’s started to get irritated by her eyes possibly because they’re watery. Pet's info: Dog | Bulldog | Female | spayed

It looks to me like Hope is likely having an allergic reactions. Try giving her an over the counter antihistamine for the next 3 days. You can apply a cool compress to the eyes as well which will give some relief. If the swelling is not going down within 24 hours, take her to the vet for a steroid injection. Most of the time you will never know why this happened, its assumed a spider bite but you can't say for sure. Please post again with any further questions.
