My chihuahua is suddenly skinny and won't eat. What's wrong?

My 2 year old chihuahua got really skinny all of a sudden and doesn't want to eat. What might be wrong with her and can I do anything about it? Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 2 months old | 4.8 lbs

There are many things that could make Lucy skinny all of a sudden. Intestinal worms, kidney disease, neoplasia or inadequate calories are all potential causes. I would recommend to take Lucy into the vet for a fecal exam and some bloodwork. The fact that she doesn't want to eat could be an indicator that she does not feel good.
