Why is my dog's skin bumpy, losing hair, and looks like it's eaten?

I think my dog may have been bitten by a spider it has a bump n it looks like the skin is being eaten away slowly there is no hair on the area and no sign of the puncture. Pet's info: Dog | Australian Cattle Dog | Male | unneutered | 75 lbs

If it is bothering Toby to the point where he is chewing / licking it raw, I would recommend bringing him to a veterinarian to have this examined so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made.
