Veterinary terminology is not much different than medical terminology, so if you learn one, then you will know the other. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to completely understand what is meant with various terminology, because this requires a great deal of background knowledge in subjects such as biology, chemistry, pharmacology, biochemistry, medicine, anatomy, physiology, radiology, toxicology and theriogenology. It's difficult to know what advice would be best without knowing your level of education, but one of the most important parts of learning terminology is understanding the meaning of root words. Many of the root words are based in latin, so if you have an education in latin, then this would be very helpful. Here is a link to some helpful information about the root words: http://www.globalrph.com/medterm.htm Once you understand the meaning of the basic root words, then you can start to put various parts of the word together and make sense of it. Directional terms are also important for understanding veterinary/medical terminology. Below is a link to some directional terms. https://blog.vetprep.com/infographic-why-it-is-important-to-know-anatomical-and-directional-terminology-in-veterinary-medicine I hope that helps.

There are many texts & manuals available to purchase that deal mainly in veterinary terminology. Check on Amazon books for one called Veterinary Medical Terminology: Guide & Workbook. There are also a ton of veterinary YouTube videos that demonstrate just about any procedure out there. Listen carefully as they talk about the instruments being used. Have fun.
