Hi, my kitten had constipation when we got him from the original owner and now has a protruding bum. How do we fix it? His constipation has almost completely gone away

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Nimbus! His anal/perineal area is likely stretched from the pressure of hard stool and straining. It is likely to eventually look normal. But it will take time and there is a slim chance that it will always protrude. As long as he defeates normally without straining if it is permanent then it is likely just cosmetic. I hope this helps and I wish you the best!
