Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 5 days old | 1.5 lbs
We have a question about our 12 week old chihuahua puppy. We recently got her she has had no shots but been wormed. This past Sunday we took her to a pet clinic near us got her first set of shots and medications. They reworked her but we noticed before and after her shots there were these little yellow seed looking things in her cage when she would use the restroom. Even sometimes when she didn't. Can you help me figure this out and direct me as what to do we have a rescue boxer and I don't need

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Chica has tapeworm. Tapeworm are usually from fleas (current or previous infestation). Most general puppy dewormers do not kill tapeworm. Chica should get a dwormer that gets tapeworm, either drontal or cestex or droncit. Your boxer can not get tapeworm from those segments, she would need to have ingested a flea as well. I hope this helps and I wish Chica the very best!
