My cat won't leave the bedroom. How do I make her comfortable?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Curl | Female | 3 lbs

I know I keep asking questions about "Scruff",but, I am still confused. Should I leave "Scruff" alone, or go into the bedroom and play with her? She comes out and plays when I go in there, but, I want her to come out and join us in the living room! What should I do?? She's been to the vet and is healthy.

You should not force her to interact. That will backfire as she will be scared. Once she feels comfortable she will come out of the room on her own. You are overthinking the process. My one suggestion would be to try some Feliway diffusers in the house. This may decrease stress levels and make her feel more comfortable. https://www.feliway.com/us#redirected https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/comfort-zone-diffuser-with-feliway-for-cats Hope this helps. Best wishes!
