My healthy 2-year-old Pomeranian sleeps a lot. Is that normal?

Hi, my Pomeranian is 2 years old, she's playful, loud and healthy, however I've noticed she sleeps a lot. She sleeps 3-4 times a day and maybe sometimes even more. Is this something normal? Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Female | spayed | 4 lbs

This may just be normal sleeping behavior for Coco so I don't think you need to be concerned. If she is otherwise acting normally I would just monitor. To err on the side of caution you could always schedule an veterinary examination for Coco just to ensure no health issues are going on. She is young so things like low thyroid, heart disease, or endocrine disease are unlikely, but not impossible. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
