Why isn't my dog's bark collar working even after a haircut?

Bought a pet co shock collar six months ago for my barking yorkie. It never seemed to faze her, figured her coat was too thick but sge's had a haircut and I got a new battery, still nothing. Am I out of luck? Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | spayed | 10 lbs

It may not be on tight enough to be effective. The prongs has to be flush on the skin or it does not reach or work. Most collars have different settings so you may have to increase the setting until effective then start to decrease it as she gets the idea. They also make a type of collar that sprays a scent in their face to deter barking. They types may work better for you.
