Dog ear infection pus in my eye: Can I get an eye infection?

Weird question, but I am treating my dog for an ear infection and she shook her head and pus flew out and landed in my eye. If I washed it out immediately, how likely am I to now get an eye infection? Can dogs even pass infections to a human? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 20 lbs

You are unlikely to get an eye infection and there are some diseases and parasite that dogs can pass to be people, but this not something you need to worry about. If her ears are not better after a week of medication she will need a recheck though.
