My dog's bald spot is dark & irritated after a month. What's wrong?

My dog had a bold area that start around a month ago and now it look like this. Any suggestion of what it can be? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 20 lbs
