Pet's info: Dog | Central Asian Shepherd Dog | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 117 lbs
My dog was just diagnosed with hyperplasia by an emergency vet. I'm basically being told it's no big deal to worry about right now. Her vaginal tissue is protruding outside. Not much but enough to worry me. Being the breed she is she doesn't like to be in the house ever, do I need to force her in the house? I also read that it needs to stay moist, how do I keep it moist and not dry? It's 20 degrees outside and snowing.

Yes keeping her inside so it can stay clean would be best. You can apply lubricant to it such as KY to keep it moist. It does usually resolve when the heat cycle passes and the hormones settle down or getting her spayed at your regular vet will fix it faster.
