My kitten eats my adult cat's food. Is this okay? How do I stop it?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 2 months and 4 days old | 8.82 lbs

My 12 week old kitten Bobby will eat his food we give in 1.5 pouch a day. Complete dry down all time with water. But he will still eat our 4 year old cat coco food if she has left any. She had 2.3 pouch a day dry all day and water I feed them in diffrent rooms but he will go to her bowl after. Us this good not how do I stop this

Bobby and Coco are adorable! I do recommend only feeding Bobby kitten food. This is a common problem where kittens will want the adult food. I would recommend once Coco is done with her food and she walks away to just pick it up. You are already feeding in different rooms so just by picking up the food should help. Otherwise, if Bobby cannot jump hight then I would put Coco's food higher up. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
