My dog limps on back leg after jump, cries at night. Vet needed?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 1 year old | 8 lbs

1 year f chi. About 1.5 weeks ago she attempted to jump on the couch and missed..(she landed on her hip or back leg) cried in pain because this was at night I waited till morning to she how she’s doing.... well she’s been running around with the other dogs and like nothing happened... but in the evenings she not placing weight on her back foot and hobbles around and still cries in pain but not all the time. Should I take her in to see the vet, if so any suggestions to keep her calm she hates vet

Yes, I think you should take Cricket to see the veterinarian. She may have an injury that requires rest and prescription pain medications. Please remember there are no safe over the counter pain medications for dogs so you will need to have these prescribed by a veterinarian. An Adaptil collar may help with mild anxiety while at the vet. You may also wish to call your veterinarian to see if they can prescribe anything to help calm Cricket for the visit. In the future try to bring Cricket to the vet office just to get some treats and then leave so she starts to associate the veterinary office with positive experiences.
