My male dog is attacking his son. How do I stop these fights?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Hi I'm Ray, 15 y/o. We have three dogs, 1 female. Only allowed outside the house. Female is the sister of one male (Dog A), and the other is her child (Dog B). A has been starting fights with Dog B (mostly happens at night). B doesnt fight back. Has been happening for a while now but only now did i see blood. I'm too scared to come near Dog A but i managed to cage him. Sorry i can't attach photos. Also most of the times B appears really scared around A. Jaw is not hanging. What's happening?

Im sorry you are having to deal with this. It sounds like Dog A has become very territorial or just aggressive. If he is still intact then this could be the cause and i would have him neutered ASAP. You could also talk to your vet about giving Dog A an anti-anxiety medicine daily to see if this helps. If not, you may consider finding Dog A a home where there are no other pets. I hope this helps.
