Can my Shiba Inu take Trazodone, Apoquel, Rimadyl combined for pain?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Shiba Inu | Female | spayed | 4 years and 11 months old | 41 lbs

Can my Shiba Inu take 1/2 of trazodone 50mg, 1/2 Apoquel tabs 16mg and her Rimadyl chew 75 mg? She is a rescue who was bond to a tree and her back leg is giving her tremendous pain. We are from FLORIDA, currently in Michigan and she was bouncing in the snow

There are no adverse concerns of taking trazodone, apoquel, and rimadyl together. However, the dose of Rimadyl you have listed as 75 mg. That is a pretty high dose for a 41 pound dog. I would typically give 1/2 of a 75 mg tablet twice a day. You can also give 1 full tablet but just once every 24 hours. I think the twice daily dosing is more effective. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
