Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Female | spayed
We will be adopting 11 year old Husky with it's 4.5 years old mutt friend. Their owner recently passed away and they are living alone. As I was told they are scared and tries to run away. How do we make them feel good at our home? We have 5 month old GSD puppy too. Should we separate them at start? We don't know anything about these dogs and how they are with other pets. (we have 2 cats as well) But if we dont take them they will be put down. So we will risk it.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! First of all, thanks for what you are doing, that is very nice of you. I think it would be best if they are introduced slowly to the puppy meaning for short amounts of time to be increased daily until they are getting along well consistently. They should be supervised at the beginning when interacting with your cats or puppy. I think it would be a good idea to have toys and beds for both to make them feel more at home. Good luck!
