My missing cat was found deceased. How can I identify if it's mine?

This morning one of our cats, that is a recent mother, dissapeared. Later this day my sister saw an unidentifiable dead cat on the street. It looked similar to our cat but this cat had no pink nipples. How do I know if this is my cat? (Also it seemed fatter than usual). Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 1.5 lbs

Did your cat happen to have a microchip? If so you can take the body to a veterinarian and have them scan for a microchip. Otherwise it is mostly visual identification. I am so sorry you are facing this. My condolences if it is your kitty.
