Constipation is typically not associated with Clavamox. On the contrary diarrhea is often seen. Make sure you are identifying this correctly because pets can strain when they have colitis and diarrhea also. To help with constipation, if this is indeed what is going on, you can try adding in 1-2 tsp of canned pumpkin (not the pie filling) in Harpers food daily to help add fiber and promote GI motility. If she still can’t go #2 well after 24 hrs or so, it’s best to have her seen by your vet for a proper exam and an enema. Please use caution because a lot of over the counter enemas contain phosphate which is toxic to pets, and they also don’t tolerate this well, so it’s best to have this done through your vet if needed. I hope Harper is able to go potty regularly soon. Best wishes and take care.
