My cat's eye infection is worsening. What's the best course of action?

It does look as if your car has an eye infection. If there is any associates sneezing and/or coughing it may be an upper respiratory infection as well. Based on the pictures a corneal ulceration cannot be ruled out. I would recommend taking your cat in to be examined by your veterinarian so the exact cause of the eye discharge can be determined.
