Dog bit my kitten. Why is she sleeping, squinting, head tilting?

Yes, I would be concerned that there may be internal injuries, especially as she is bleeding when she sneezes and she is also likely to be in significant pain and discomfort. Dog bites are at significant risk for infection also so I strongly recommend a full check up by your vet

Luna needs to be examined by the veterinarian. When pets squint their eyes, it indicates pain. The most common causes are a scratch on the cornea or a viral infection. Both of these conditions are not only painful, but they can get worse quickly. She needs medication to treat the eye and an Elizabethan collar to prevent any rubbing which could make it worse. She could have something stuck in her mouth or under her tongue especially since you know she chewed on the blind or she could have gotten a hold of something else. Usually traumatic injuries like bite wounds can become worse with time if not treated appropriately. Also, sometimes the external wound is just the tip of the iceberg and there is more to it internally or locally. Luna may be twitching because she is in pain. Unfortunately there are no OTC pain relievers you can give her. Many human ones are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. I would take her into the vet first thing in the morning to get checked out. I hope this helps!

I'm so sorry Lizzie went through this traumatic event! Without seeing her and her injuries it is very hard so say. If they shook her at all they could have caused bruising to her lungs or brain. The other concern would be any puncture wounds. I would look her over carefully for wounds and keep her inside for the next 24-48 hours to monitor her. The problem with dog and cat fights or altercations is that it is hard to know the extent of the internal injuries even if there is no external injuries. It is really important to have him checked by a veterinarian to determine for example if he has any evidence of internal injuries such as bleeding into the abdomen, a broken rib or something of that nature. He is probably avoiding contact because he is painful. I highly recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible for further assessment and evaluation. They may proceed with radiographs and blood work for example depending on his physical examination. At the very least they can start him on pain control medications. Good luck!

If she didn't like the oral medicine, it could have caused her to drool heavily and twitch her head some, but of course without seeing her myself, it is difficult to say for sure.
