My parrot has black bruising after laying eggs. Is it serious?

Corella parrot has layed 3 eggs and she seems to have another on the way. I am concerned about he black bruising where her egg sack is.

Hello, I agree with you that the bruising shown is extremely concerning. This is abnormal and suggests trauma likely due to egg laying or difficulty laying eggs. Egg binding, ectopic eggs, or broken eggs can all be life threatening in birds. Please do not delay in seeking veterinary care for Susie.
