Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 6 lbs
I just moved into a new place and it’s a two story duplex whereas the last two places my cat lived were apartments. I know can take a while for cats to adjust to their new environment, but Cassie has always adjusted very quickly. This time she keeps walking all over the place whining and crying and I can’t figure out what’s wrong. She has plenty of food and water, I’ve given her a ton of attention and her litter box is clean. Her tail flips at the tip like she’s happy. What am I missing?

Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! Poor Cassie! How long have you been in your new place? Even if Cassie always adjusted quickly doesn't mean she always will. There maybe something about your new duplex that is causing stress" the smell, the sounds, the size? I would try to enrich her environment: play with her, get cat trees for her to climb, get beds she can hide in, get shelves you can put at a window so she can watch the birds (get a bird feeder) and I would consider getting the Feliway diffuser to help calm her. Ultimately if time and the above do not help her settle in, you may need to discuss anti-anxiety medications with your Vet. Which I would anticipate would be temporary. I hope this helps and I wish Cassie the best! http://pet-supplies.drsfostersmith.com/search?w=feliway%20for%20cats
