Can my guinea pig catch a fungal infection from my sick cat?

If my cat is sick (has fungi) or any other sickness, if i had a guinea pig will it get sick too? Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 10 months old | 7.055 lbs

Usually animals get infected from the environment and not directly from other pets especially when it is a different species but again, this depends on the type of infection. Good luck!
