My cat's eating again after blockage diagnosis. Need another X-ray?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1 year and 8 months old | 8 lbs

Hi. I have a cat who I recently took to the vet due to vomiting and no appetite. They gave him a shot of cerenia and told me he needed surgery to have a blockage removed(this was on Saturday) now I have all the money to take him today but he has been eating again. Barely throwing up. The vet told me he would not be able to eat so I’m confused. Should I ask for another X-ray?

If symptoms have changes, Leo should be re-evaluated again by your veterinarian prior to any procedure. A repeat abdominal xray may be indicated after a physical exam. You vet may also administer some contrast media, usually barium, to confirm and locate any intestinal blockage.
