Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 3 years and 7 months old | 11.6 lbs
My cat ate about 1/4 cup of unseasoned hamburger grease 2 days ago. He committed foam a few times then stopped. He is still drinking eater and otherwise acting normal but I cannot get him to eat. He hasn't eaten in about 48 hours. What should I do?

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. Based on your description, Frollo may be dehydrated and nauseous. I would recommend having him seen by a veterinarian to assess how dehydrated he is and so that the veterinarian can help determine what the problem is. Frollo may need anti-vomiting / nausea medications to prevent him from continuing to vomit. If he does not improve with veterinary care, then the next step would be abdominal x-rays or an ultrasound to make sure that there is no GI foreign body obstruction or other cause. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
