My cat is losing fur on his back and flinching when petted.

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered

So my cat Lee boy is loseing hair on his back and when i go to pet him he flinches as if im going to hit him. He was abused and malnourished as a kitten before i adopted him but that was five years ago ( he is six now ) what should i do? Im really worried

It looks like he may have an infection, or maybe a burn down his back. I think he is flinching because he is painful. I would highly encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon! Thank you for using Pet Coach.
