My cat is losing fur on his back and flinching when petted.

Question

So my cat Lee boy is loseing hair on his back and when i go to pet him he flinches as if im going to hit him. He was abused and malnourished as a kitten before i adopted him but that was five years ago ( he is six now ) what should i do? Im really worried. Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered
