Could my dog's sudden hard head bumps be an allergic reaction?

My dog has developed lumps today on his head. He has 5-6 mini bumps about 0.5-1 cm in diameter. The bumps are hard. And his nail broke off two days ago, but I don't know if it's related. I'm going to go to the vet. But I wanted an opinion from a vet. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | 5 years and 10 months old | 9 lbs

I would be concerned about an allergic reaction since they came so soon. I would give him a good bath to try to rinse trbarea then you can give an over the counter antihistamine to help untiknhe gets seen tomorrow
