What's the cost to remove my dog's growing gum mass causing drooling?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Male | 7 years and 8 months old | 63 lbs

My vet noticed fibromatous mass on the gum of my boxer but informed me it could be left for now, unless causing other issues. Noticed now, it has grown quite a bit in and around his lower teeth and he now has another on the other side of his gum. Yesterday and today, excessive drooling has occurred but everything else is normal. Wondering what the average cost is to have these removed. Swelling a little but not painful

It does sound like poor Winston needs to have these masses removed. Depending on the complexity of the surgery, the length of time under anesthesia, and surgical time, something like this could cost anywhere between $500 to over $1000 or more. Prices vary between areas and clinics within an area, and a exam of the mouth is needed before an estimate can be given, which is why I can't give you an exact price. I would speak to Winston's vet about having them removed now since the mass is growing and he has another one on the other side. The vet can give an estimate for the cost of removal. I hope this helps!
