Why is my dog producing milk and licking her vulva after heat?

Hi so Luna has big nipple and my son squeezed her nipple and milk came out, but know every once in a while she licks her vulva, what does that mean? she was in heat a while ago and she did have contact with a male dog

Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! I answered your previous question. If she was recently in heat but didn't have contact with male then she is experiencing a false pregnancy. It will take 2 or more months for the symptoms to resolve. Once they do I recommend spaying her because this tends to happen again. The licking of the vulva can be related or she could have a vaginitis, urinary tract infection or she could be leaking urine (urinary incontinence). If she has bloody or brown discharge from her vulva she could have an infected uterus (pyometra) which is a surgical emergency.
