Pet's info: Cat | American Bobtail | Male | neutered | 13 lbs
Hello, My cat of 9 years was diagnosed with FIV a couple of years ago and is starting to show signs of deteriorating health. His fur is starting to dull and is coming out in small clumps with hard bits of skin attached to them. He is grooming constantly and seems to be very itchy. He has also started to door-dart as if to get away from me. What could be the cause?

This may be an allergy or a skin infection that is causing these symptoms. Any cat with FiV has a compromised immune system so it is harder to keep basic infections under control. Your vet can check his liver and kidney values a thyroid tobser if those are contributing factors and see what medicine will be needed to clear the problem
