My 7-year-old dachshund keeps peeing inside. What's the cause?

hi my 7 year ld dachshund has decided in the last few moths that he would like to pee on everything inside even if i am home and he has always got access to outside .. what wrong with him what do i do ?

There are several disease that can cause this whixhbwoukd make it not his fault. Your vet needs to examine him to check for diabetes or kidney disease or a bladder infection or stones . These can both cause more frequent urinating in the early stages. if these test are all normal then your vet can prescribe behavioral medicines to help

    Most commonly this is due to a problem with the urinary tract (prostate, UTI, stones, etc.), but can also be due to incontinence, weakness, metabolic causes (kidneys, high calcium, etc.), or behavioral. The only way to know for sure why he is doing this is to have your vet perform an exam including a rectal. A urinalysis and bloodwork will also likely be recommended as a first steps.
