My dog has parvo and is vomiting. Can Pedialyte help with hydration?

My dog has parvo, we brought him home with his medicine from the vet... and he’s been having a lot of trouble keeping anything down he weighs 5Lbs and I’m trying to see if pedialyte can help him stay hydrated, “i” just don’t know how much i could actually give him??? Please help me “i” don’t want anything to happen to my little baby

I actually would recommend hospitalizing Hunter at a 24 hour emergency hospital. Especially if he cannot keep anything down. The best course of action is symptomatic care and IV fluids to keep Hunter hydrated. Even if giving pedialyte, if he is vomiting he isn't going to be getting enough fluids to help. I would also be concerned the more you give orally the more you he may vomit. I hope Hunter feels better soon and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
