My cat meows constantly and acts strange after getting a kitten. Why?

Stella has been meowing constantly as if she is in heat i open my bedroom and give her alone time with me she has been a suuper needy one lately, we did get a kitten 2 months ago but i dont let that take away from stella whatsoever. Just strange behaviour from her. Although i stopped giving them wet food cause savvy was stinking up the house they rnt eating dry food but oh well no picky eaters here lol. Stella is roaming house meowing mostly at nite. Pet's info: Cat | Bombay | Female | spayed | 1 year and 3 months old | 12 lbs

Unfortunately, I don't have a great answer for you about Stella. If she is acting otherwise normal and not exhibiting signs of illness, you may just monitor her for now. Cats can be reactive to things we don't know about, she could be smelling a cat outside or even just able to see if. She could also be bored. I would say its possible there could be a medical issue like maybe an infection in her ears or her bladder but many cats have these without vocalizing. I'm not convinced the vocalization is a medical problem but you don't know unless you get it checked out! I would try to stimulate Stella. Buy a treat ball online and feed her out of that, purchase a cat tree with a hiding area on the top, purchase some new toys and set time aside each day to play. You could also use a Feliway Diffuser and see if that changes her behavior at all. I hope I have at least answered some of your questions. Please post again with anything else you think of.
