My dog has moist nose sores that aren't healing. What should I do?

I noticed lesions on my dogs nose about 4 days ago there isn't any puss but still moist as she licks them whilst eating there has been no improvement. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 7 months old | 45 lbs

Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sorry to hear about Sasha. I would advise taking Sasha to your veterinarian for an evaluation. These are odd lesions and one concern I would have is an immune-mediated skin disease. It is possible it is something else but problems affecting mucocutaneous junctions are oftentimes immune-mediated in nature. Other possibilities include bacterial infection, nutritional problem, etc. Your veterinarian is likely to advise some tests if this condition persists. A skin biopsy might be necessary to diagnose this. Once a diagnosis is made a sound treatment plan can be implemented. Good luck with Sasha.
