Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 13 years and 7 months old | 17 lbs
I noticed that my 13 year old short hair cat seemed to have a larger front shoulder on the right side. When I checked his front leg I did not find any bumps or lumps. Initially when I checked his torso, I did not find any thing. When he is very relaxed, I can feel a soft mass that us flexible in that it does not stay in one position. Now I am worried and I need to call the vet for an appointment. What could this be?

I would recommend to get Peanut in sooner rather than later to have the mass aspirated. This should give you an idea of what type of mass it is and if you need to be worried. Most skin masses are benign but there is always a chance its cancerous. The aspirate is quick and generally does not require sedation or stitches. Try not to worry until you know what you are dealing with. Best of luck with Peanut.
