My pit bull has a growing calcium deposit with a black spot. Is it serious?

My 5 year old pit bull has had a calcium deposit since he was about 2. Lately in may have gotten larger and has a black head on it

Titus likely has a little inflammation in that spot or he may have a minor infection. I don't think it looks to worrisome right now. Don't pick at it and make sure he's not messing with it either. It may pop, in which case wash it with soap and water. You can apply a topical antibiotic and keep it clean. If it doubles in size or appears to be hurting him, take him into the vet.
